What is Engaging Communities?

Engaging Communities is a local initiative started by Iliamna Development Corporation to encourage residents to take a proactive approach to learning about the issues and events affecting us all.

Through time, the goal is for it to grow to become a multi-community initiative where residents feel empowered to control their own destinies by having the knowledge and skills to make sound decisions for their communities and their futures.

 

A Local Documentary: Bristol Bay Voices

Bristol Bay Voices was developed by Iliamna Development Corporation (IDC) to share some of the hopes, thoughts and dreams of individuals in the Bristol Bay Region, as well as explore the issues that have put our region on the map.

The interviews include opinions from King Salmon/Naknek, Anchorage, Iliamna, Newhalen, Nondalton, Kokhanok, Igiugig, Dillingham, New Stuyahok and Levelock.

The 10 plus minutes here were from more than 8 hours of footage from interviews of 21 people that have very different backgrounds and lifestyles.
